Alloy 20 RTJ Flanges are composed primarily of nickel (32–38%), chromium (19–21%), and iron, with additions of molybdenum (2–3%), copper (3–4%), and small amounts of carbon, manganese, and silicon. This unique composition enhances resistance to sulfuric acid and chloride-induced corrosion. Mechanically, Alloy 20 offers a tensile strength of around 551 MPa, yield strength of 241 MPa, and excellent elongation of approximately 30%. Its outstanding weldability, formability, and impact toughness make it ideal for chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing applications where durability and corrosion resistance are essential.
